How To Throw A Rosé Party

May 20, 2017 By bbw_janitor 4 years ago

Rosé is one of the most celebrated wine styles this year: Classic rosé is dry, crisp and refreshing as well as accessibly food-friendly. Black Box Wine has crafted its new rosé with enticing aromas and flavors of fresh strawberry, watermelon and white peach. An atmosphere of relaxed celebration is the inspiration for pairing our new rosé box wine – crafted primarily to reflect the Syrah grape flavor profile – with light and fresh summer meals. These Black Box Rosé wine pairings are perfect as dinner party appetizers or for an afternoon by the pool – hand-held and fresh.

Black Box Rosé + Asparagus, Prosciutto and Roma Tomatoes

  • Crusty bread
  • California olive oil
  • Cheese of your choice
  • Fresh asparagus, chopped into two halves
  • Sliced Roma tomatoes
  • Fresh prosciutto

This dish is superb on the grill and is prepared with garden-fresh veggies. Drizzle a slice of your favorite crusty bread with California olive oil, add layers of cheese, asparagus, sliced Roma tomatoes and a sliver of prosciutto. A few moments on a hot grill will toast the bread and cheese and bring out the flavors of the other ingredients. It’s a perfect pairing with chilled rosé, which is always lovely with grilled veggies and anything from the charcuterie platter. Party tip: Delegate a grill master so you can relax.

Black Box Rosé + Watermelon Skewers

  • Fresh watermelon
  • Purple grapes or yellow cherry tomatoes
  • Fresh mint or basil
  • Cubed cheese of your choice
  • Balsamic vinegar reduction

Watermelon is a summer icon and everyone loves the refreshing, cool crunch of this gorgeous summer produce. Cut bite-ready pieces and skewer with purple grapes or yellow cherry tomatoes for a splash of great color. Add a sprig of basil or mint from the garden and a few nibbles of your favorite cheese. All it takes is a drizzle of balsamic vinegar reduction to round out the savory-sweet profile of this summer delight and make a perfect rosé wine pairing. Party tip: Don’t bring sharp skewers near inflatable pool floats. We learned it the hard way.

Frozen + Rosé = Frosé

This season, enjoy Summer’s hottest drink that everyone is talking about – refreshingly cool and crisp, sip a Frosé the Black Box way.

  • 4 cups frozen Black Box Wines Rosé
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced
  • 5 Tbsp lemon juice

Remove Rosé wine bag from box and place in freezer. Freeze bag for at least six hours prior to preparation. When ready to serve, blend all ingredients together until smooth. Garnish with strawberries and fresh mint. Serve and enjoy! Party tip: It’s best consumed in the shade of a big umbrella, on a hammock, with a sunset. Repeat all summer.
