So many reasons. All of them smart ones.

In 2003, Black Box Wines redefined the wine category by becoming the first U.S. brand to offer premium, appellation-specific, vintage-dated boxed wines. Since then our expanding repertoire has earned more than 50 gold medals in wine competitions nationwide, yet still costs 40% less than comparable bottled wines.

Opening Black Box Wines

  • Lay box flat with box directions facing you. Press in the perforated circle (Tab A) and remove.

  • Lift the perforated flap (Tab B). Pull out the spout and slide it into the circle cutaway.

  • Push the flap (Tab B) down to lock the spout in place.

  • Remove foil pull tab from the spout opening and stand the box upright.

  • To pour, place glass under spout and press the button.

  • Store in a cool dry place at room temperature. Once opened refrigeration is not required.

Storage Tips

Black Box Wines don’t need to be refrigerated after opening because they stay fresh at room temperature. However, we do recommend refrigerating our white wines so they’re always chilled and ready to serve. Ideally, reds should be kept someplace cool, away from direct sunlight. Before opening, all boxed wines can be stored either upright or on their sides. After opening, keep them upright or lay them down with the spout facing up.
